All peels penetrate
the top layers of the skin loosening the dead skin cells by dissolving the
bonds that hold them together. You will shed off the pigmented, lined and/or
damaged skin that dulls the surface of your face. This will reveal the
younger, healthier skin cells beneath.
There is no downtime with these peels. Your skin immediately looks and feels
smoother and tighter. Your face may temporarily appear rosy and mild peeling
may occur, but that usually
dissipate within a day or two,. The
degree of peeling can vary from invisible to a very mild flaking. This will
depend on your skin , type of peel and your home care/products.
Glycolic acid peels are great for smoothing out fine lines and
leaving the skin feeling soft and supple. Glycolic Acid also acts like
a liquid rotor rooter, getting into the pores and softening the debris, thus
making extraction easier. Glycolic Acid has also been found to contain
hydrating properties.
Salicylic acid peels have the added anti-bacterial effect that will kill any acne causing bacteria lurking beneath the surface. Salicylic acid is the ingredient in over the counter acne medications, therefore it does a fantastic job of fighting breakouts and keeping them away!!
Lactic acid, a type of alpha hydroxy acid, is
derived from sour milk and is the mildest of chemical peels. It
functions as an exfoliant on the skin. Its acid helps dissolve the
glue-like substance that binds the outermost surface skin cells together,
promoting cellular turnover. Lactic Acid also lightens
hyper-pigmentation (sun damage). The appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
are minimized. Safe and effective for all skin types, including
sensitive, rosacea and problematic skin.
NOTE: Because a lactic acid peel is
so gentle, results are not as intense as with other chemical peels. A
series of up to eight sessions may be required to achieve full
results, with "maintenance" lactic peel treatments thereafter.
A Pomegranate Peel
reaches into the dermal layer of the skin and stimulates cellular
turnover, collagen production and protein synthesis. It also increases the
skin’s natural moisture factor and contains a myriad of antioxidants
including……..
-- Pomegranate Seed
(a potent ant-oxidant and contains anti-viral abilities)
-- L-lactic Acid (softens
protein & increases cellular turnover)
-- Papin (from papaya – an
enzyme to remove dead skin cells)

This is a wonderful treatment for hyper-pigmentation, sun & environmental damage, dehydrated, dull and/or flaking skin, acne and may be used on ALL skin types.
IMPORTANT: Discontinue use of Retin-A, Vitamin C products and any granular scrubs for 1 week prior to any peel!!! All of these treatments make the skin extremely sensitive to other chemicals and will cause your skin to have an adverse reaction. Also, NO SUN. Sun is THE primary cause of aging/damaged skin.
